Current WC pan vertical fixing for Wood & Concrete floors.
- Wood floor has to be pre-drilled before the plumber can fix the pan with the large, coach type fixing bolt.
- Wood floors are 25mm thick, the long fixing screws protrude through the floor by as much as 40mm causing damage to pipes & wiring unseen under the floorboards.
- Concrete floors, the floor requires a hole drilling with an 8mm masonry drill to a depth of 40mm to accommodate the plug for the fixing bolt to secure the pan.
- Due to the difficulty and time required, to complete the job, plumbers fix the pan permanently on a bed of sand & cement.
• These problems are typical of all installations.
